The Municipal Service Project (MSP) is a multi-sector and inter-regional research project that systematically explores alternatives to the privatization and commercialization of service provision in health, water, sanitation and electricity. Having spent the first two phases of the project (2000-2007) criticizing privatization, this phase of the project (2009-2013) will analyze service delivery models that are successful alternatives to commercialization and to understand the conditions required for their sustainability and reproducibility.
The MSP is coordinated by a Steering Committee made up of project partners from around the world.
